GAPHTO Bono East Demonstrates Compassion with GHS 16,000 Support for Ailing Member

The Ghana Association of Public Health Technical Officers (GAPHTO), Bono East Region, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the welfare of its members through a remarkable act of solidarity and compassion.

In a heartfelt gesture, the Regional Executives, led by the President, Mr. Abraham Num, presented a cash donation of GHS 16,000.00 to Mr. Nyantakyi Addo, a dedicated member and tutor currently battling a stroke. The donation is intended to support his medical expenses and ease the financial burden on him and his family during this difficult time.

Mr. Nyantakyi Addo is widely recognized as a committed and active member of GAPHTO, having significantly contributed to the association's growth and the advancement of public health in the Bono East Region. His dedication and service have left a lasting impact, making this support not only timely but deeply deserved.

This noble act reflects GAPHTO’s core values and its obligation to stand by its members in times of need. Beyond financial support, the visiting team offered words of encouragement and moral support to uplift their colleague's spirit and reassure him that he is not alone on this journey.

The family of Mr. Nyantakyi Addo expressed profound gratitude to GAPHTO for the generous support and kind gesture, describing it as a great relief and a true demonstration of unity and care.

This intervention highlights the tireless efforts of both the Regional and National Executives in prioritizing members' welfare. It serves as a strong reminder that belonging to GAPHTO goes beyond professional affiliation—it is a family that supports, uplifts, and stands together.

Members are therefore encouraged to always reach out to their district focal persons whenever they face challenges, so that timely support and interventions can be provided.

Furthermore, this inspiring act should motivate all public health professionals who are not yet members of GAPHTO to join the association and be part of a supportive and impactful network that truly cares for its own.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we care. Together, we grow.
