Regional Director of Health Services Commends Sene East District on Teamwork and Performance.
In her address, the Regional
Director expressed her admiration for the district’s ability to achieve
remarkable outcomes with limited human resources. “Though you may not have a
large workforce, your achievements rival those of districts with more staff.
This reflects a strong sense of teamwork and dedication,” she stated. She
emphasized that teamwork is the foundation of extraordinary accomplishments,
saying, “It is through teamwork that common people achieve uncommon results.”
The Regional Director also
shared encouraging words for casual staff, recognizing their significant
contributions to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). She assured them that they are
an integral part of the health system, with equal entitlement to the benefits
enjoyed by mechanized staff. “Casual staff should see themselves as part of the
Ghana Health Service. Mechanized staff benefits extend to you as well, and your
role is critical to our success,” she noted.
Regarding the implementation of
the Network of Practice (NoP), the Regional Director commended
the district for its progress in incorporating this new initiative. She
acknowledged the active participation of Community Health Management Committees
(CHMCs) and other stakeholders, praising the district’s efforts to align with
the program's goals. “Although the NoP is new to all of us, I can see that Sene
East is making commendable strides in its implementation,” she remarked.
In a significant boost to
logistics, the region is set to receive 11 tricycle bikes, with each district,
including Sene East, allocated one in the initial phase. The Regional Director
emphasized the importance of these resources in enhancing mobility and service
delivery, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
She concluded her visit with a
rallying call to all health workers in the district to strive for excellence
and aim for recognition at the national level. Highlighting the importance of
documentation and appraisal, she urged staff to maintain accurate records of
their achievements. “Let us work hard and aim for this year’s national awards.
Start filling your appraisal forms now to ensure your efforts are recognized,”
she advised.
The visit by the Regional Director
has reinvigorated the district’s health team, reinforcing their commitment to
delivering quality healthcare services and achieving greater heights in the
coming year.
